Terminix

Modeler / Matte Painting

This was my last contract at The Orphanage before they shuttered their doors.  It was for two Terminix commercial spots.

I really dug the very short turnaround for these types of spots. I also got to dig my heels into other areas of the industry. I did the little CG bug environment (photo references, modeling and matte painting) that begin when the termites first land outside of the house, scurry through the gnarled wood, and ends after they cross the threshold into the cathedral. Also, the exit shot, with the gnarled wood, was created by me.

The videos you'll see below are an incomplete high resolution comp (by senior compositor Jesse Russell) and the actual full length low resolution commercial that I found posted on youtube by the guy who did the voice over for it.  I've been trying to hunt down a higher resolution copy of the finished commercial.
